From the winery:
2011 was an excellent warm vintage in Wilyabrup, with plentiful rainfall after flowering and dry warm weather all summer. 2011 ranks with 2007 as one of the warmest and earliest Margaret River harvests, producing very polished and luscious wines.
Our 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Malbec and 2% Cabernet Franc. The colour is a bright crimson. The nose displays a hedonistic mix of brooding blue fruits, five spice and toasty barrel notes. The palate is fine, succulent and mouth filling, with waves of dense red fruits and a very long silky finish. It captures the warmth of the vintage in the glass.
This wine is generous enough to have a broader drinking window than recent vintages. Best enjoyed between 2018 to 2040.
