DETAILS

From the winery: Herrenweg de Turckheim is a land of plains nestled between Wintzenheim and Turckheim. Because of its location at the outlet of the Munster Valley, this vineyard benefits from maximum sunshine, especially in the evening as the sun sets much later. The climate is very dry ( 525mm to 600mm / year) and winds of the valley often have a significant drying effect on the soil and the vines. This extremely privileged climate is responsible, in part with the nature of the soil, the precocity of the vineyards and the ability of the soil to ripen the grapes quickly.
We find all the varieties on Herrenweg... always marked by a very ripe acidity and opulent fruit.

The robe is yellow with light green and pale reflections. The disk is limpid and bright.
The nose is floral and spicy with notes of rose, saffron and black pepper.
In the mouth, the onset is soft, sweet and pleasant. A slight touch of bitterness can be perceived in the middle mouth, but remains very fresh. The balance is very elegant, astringency is coated by a delicate sweetness and brings a tender freshness to the wine.
Ready to be savoured at any time of the day.

The Traminer is probably the most famous Alsace wine. It comes from the North of Italy and dates from the XVI century. The Gewurztraminer (literally means spicy or musky Traminer) is a selection of the most aromatic Traminer wines and became Gewurztraminer around the year 1950. - See more at: http://www.domaines-schlumberger.com/gewurztraminer-les-princes-abbes-2009#sthash.6RCGxkHV.dpuf
